I read "The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow" to my 6 year-old son and it makes him laugh all to the way through. It has inspired him to read more, and ignited a passion for books.

Ten Tips For An Emergency Energy Boost

When your energy level is low, everything feels like a chore — even things would ordinarily make you happy. Holiday time can be draining, with lots of shopping, cooking, traveling, decorating, meeting, greeting, etc. to deal with. Or even if you're not doing these things, other people are, so something like a simple trip to the grocery store becomes a lot more difficult.

Parenting teens: A New Year's countdown of helpful advice

10 tips on how to get the year with your teen off to a good start

As we approach the end of both the year and the decade, here's a countdown of what I think are the most helpful pieces of advice for parents of teenagers. You may be disappointed that certain favourites did not make the list, such as "Give them lots of money so they have nothing to complain about," "Forbid them from having any contact whatsoever with other teenagers," and "Threaten to come to their school at lunchtime and do a five-minute dance outside the cafeteria window unless they behave better." I have a feeling these will serve you better.

The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow! The Big Fat Cow That Goes Kapow, by Andy Griffiths (Awesome Kids Books!)

“Griffiths’s innovative book for beginning readers collects nine short, intentionally silly snippets propelled by kid-pleasing, tongue-tripping verse . . . Denton’s edgy, stick-figure-filled sketches enhance the zaniness factor and the offbeat, ironic humor.”

Tomato Recipes

Although tomatoes offer loads of juicy health benefits, their biggest selling point is lycopene, a carotenoid associated with lower risk of both macular degeneration and several types of cancers, including prostate, cervical, skin, breast, and lung. Here are a few delicious recipes to get the most from this vine-ripened gem.

Crasher Seal Photobombs Group Of Penguins (PHOTO)

Crasher Seal

Imagine these poor penguins' surprise when they went to go pick up their pictures from the nearest 1 Hour Photo. Finally able to relax after months of withstanding the unbearably cold ancestral breeding grounds, all they wanted to do was take a group shot. But in an homage to crasher squirrel, some a-hole seal had to show up and ruin it. And of course, this is the only picture on the roll where nobody blinked.
